Marcel first encountered the field of bioinformatics on his master's studies in the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics (MatFyz) of the Comenius University in Bratislava. Soon after that, he went to the Vienna University for doctorate studies, where he finally get to know Python language. Currently, he works as a bioinformatician for Geneton company, where he develops new medical diagnoses mainly from sequencing genomic data. Python (with all its core routines (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, ...) and libraries (dash, flask, restplus, ...) is his indispensable working tool in this field.
